According to a transportation study by INRIX Inc. (a high tech telematics transportation company) the metro Dallas (when ranked with the adjoining Fort Worth area) ranked #4 out of the top 10 worst traffic congested cities in the USA.

According to another traffic study by the Texas Transportation Institute, the TTI ranked metro Dallas #20 (when ranked with the adjoining Fort Worth area) out of the top 20 most congested cities as measured by the number of hours commuters endured in extra travel time during rush hour traffic... the TTI determined metro Dallas residents waste approx. an extra 51 hours per year traveling in local rush-hour traffic.
